Parag Merai, M.D., psychiatrist, has been certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Merai joined Dreyer Medical Clinic in 2011. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Illinois in Chicago, in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2008. Dr. Merai completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2010. Dr. Merai has hospital privileges at both Provena Mercy Medical Center and Rush-Copley Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; and his special interests include obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
