Parag Merai, M.D., has joined the Department of Psychiatry at Dreyer Medical Clinic, and is seeing child and adolescent patients at the Clinic’s West Downer Place location.
Dr. Merai received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Illinois in Chicago, in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2008. Dr. Merai completed his fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2010. He is board certified in psychiatry and board eligible in Child & Adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Merai has hospital privileges at both Provena Mercy Medical Center and Rush-Copley Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and his special interests include obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
