Dreyer Medical Clinic Earns Eleven Stars in the 2010 Blue Star Report

Dreyer Medical Clinic has earned eleven blue stars, a perfect score, from BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois in their annual performance assessment of medical groups and independent practice associations.
The annual Blue Star Report recognizes contracting medical groups and independent practice associations that have documented high levels of performance in patient care. One Blue Star is received for meeting or exceeding the care goal in each of eleven Quality Improvement Projects. Dreyer received a Blue Star in each of the quality reporting categories: asthma care, diabetes care, breast cancer screening, childhood immunization, mental health follow-up, influenza vaccination, controlling high blood pressure, colorectal cancer screening, management of cardiovascular conditions, cervical cancer screening, and patient safety. Donna S. Cooper, C.P.A., M.H.A., President of Dreyer Medical Clinic, said, “It is an honor to be recognized by BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois and I am proud that we achieved the maximum score when compared against national guidelines.
