Dreyer Medical Clinic Announces New Vice President of Organizational Improvement

Dreyer Medical Clinic is pleased to announce Laurie Fiorica, M.S., as the new Vice President of Organizational Improvement. Ms. Fiorica brings more than eight years of experience with the Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean principles.

fiorica_webPrior to joining Dreyer, Ms. Fiorica was a Sensei with Simpler Consulting for three years, applying Lean and six sigma in health care, military, and commercial applications.  Her previous experience includes 15 years with Eastman Kodak Company serving in various manufacturing operations management roles.  Ms. Fiorica started her career as a Toxicologist and also held roles in Environmental Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Regulatory Affairs.  Her experience also includes strategic and operational planning, cultural team development, labor relations, call center excellence, quality, and project management.

Ms. Fiorica earned a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York in Geneseo in 1991, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York in 1999.  She also earned Six Sigma Blackbelt Practitioner Certification at Eastman Kodak Company in New York in 1999.

Dreyer Medical began using Lean principles in 2007 as a means to improve service and efficiency.  These principles define how we do things and the way we think about improvement, and guide our organizational thinking.  Process Improvement instills a culture of continuous improvement.  Process Improvement at Dreyer has generated more than $5 million in cost savings and revenue growth by eliminating waste, reducing errors, and creating greater efficiency.

As V.P. of Organizational Improvement, Ms. Fiorica will oversee all process improvement efforts and support strategic planning initiatives, operations, and business development.
