Back to main Dreyer ADD Clinic page Our comprehensive Adult ADD Program is designed to identify the unique problems that ADD adults face. As part of the evaluation, adults are screened for attention deficit disorder and also for other conditions that are often associated with ADD. A comprehensive treatment plan is formulated that includes the possible use of medication, strategies for overcoming issues associated with having attention problems, and referral to appropriate resources if problems other than ADD are found. Clinic's Approach: - The Diagnostic Evaluation is the beginning of a treatment program. In order to get a complete picture and develop treatment strategies, we ask that the patient bring a significant other to the initial appointments. This could be a spouse, friend, or relative.
Initial Evaluation - The patient will fill out an extensive questionnaire prior to being seen.
- A one-hour appointment is scheduled with our social worker. She will review the history and identify issues and concerns to be discussed with the physician.
- A one-hour appointment is scheduled with Dr. Blair for a brief medical screening and review of the patient's history. A specific treatment plan will be developed and medication will be prescribed if indicated. A written report will be given to each patient.
Follow-up - After the initial evaluation, patients will schedule 20-minute follow-up visits once a month for the first 3 months. During these visits, the patient's progress will be evaluated.
- After three months, patients will have follow-up visits 2 to 4 times a year as needed.
Cost Fees are based on an hourly charge for time spent with the patient. Insurance will usually cover some of the costs of the visits. Please check with your insurance company.
