Reshma D. Ajmere, M.D., (pronounced ash-MEER-ee), has joined the
Department of Pediatrics and is seeing patients at the Clinic’s Fox
Valley Villages site.
She will be sharing her medical practice with Julie A. Overcash, M.D., a pediatrician with Dreyer since 1992. Dr. Ajmere received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas in 2001, and earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in College Station, Texas in 2005. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas in 2008. Dr. Ajmere has hospital affiliations with Delnor-Community Hospital, Provena Mercy Medical Center, and Rush-Copley Medical Center. She is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics, and offers Saturday and evening hours. Her special interests include childhood obesity and asthma. Dr. Ajmere is fluent in Gujarati.
Betsy J. Bennet, M.D., has joined the new Department of Endocrinology at Dreyer Medical Clinic and is seeing patients at the Clinic’s West Aurora location. Dr. Bennet received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York, New York in 1998, and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies in 2003. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC in 2006, and completed a fellowship in endocrinology with the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois in 2008. Dr. Bennet has hospital affiliations with Provena Mercy Medical Center and Rush-Copley Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in endocrinology, and offers Saturday and evening hours. Her special interests include diabetes types 1 & 2, thyroid dysfunction, thyroid cancer, disorders of bone metabolism, osteoporosis, and hyperparathyroidism. Dr. Bennet is fluent in Malayalam.
