Carlos E. Barrios,
M.D. , has joined
the Department of Psychiatry at Dreyer Medical Clinic and is seeing child and
adolescent patients at the Clinic’s West Downer Place location.
Dr. Barrios
attended the University of
Illinois at Chicago, Illinois, where he received his undergraduate
degree in 1991 and a medical degree in 1998. He completed two residencies – one
in transitional medicine from Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center in Chicago,
Illinois in 1999 (now known as Illinois Masonic Hospital), and one in adult psychiatry from the
University of
Illinois at Chicago
Hospitals in 2004. Dr. Barrios completed two fellowships – one in
psychoanalysis from the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis in 2004, and one in
child and adolescent psychiatry from the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital in 2006, where he was Chief
Fellow from 2005 to 2006. He has hospital affiliations with Provena Mercy
Medical Center and Rush-Copley Medical Center. Dr. Barrios is board certified in
adult psychiatry and offers Saturday and evening hours. His special interests
include child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Barrios is fluent in both English
and Spanish.
Janel E. Glover,
A.P.N./C.N.P. , a
certified nurse practitioner, has joined the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology
at Dreyer Medical Clinic and is seeing patients at the Clinic’s Rush-Copley
Campus. Ms. Glover received her undergraduate degree from Clarke College in Dubuque,
Iowa in 1986, and completed a graduate degree
from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. She is a member of the
National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. Her special
interests include general women’s health, contraception, adolescent care, and
obstetrics.
