To raise awareness and provide education during National Colorectal
Cancer Awareness Month, the Gastroenterology Department at Dreyer
Medical Clinic will host a FREE seminar entitled Changing the Reality
of Colorectal Screenings.
It is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, and will be held at the Clinic’s Mercy Campus location at 1221 North Highland Avenue in Aurora.
This free two-hour event is geared toward men and women over age 50. Amar Bansal, M.D., Ernesto Godoy, M.D., and Rafid Hussein, D.O. will present the following topics: colon diseases, signs and symptoms, screening tools, how to prepare for a colonoscopy, and what to expect on the day of the procedure. Refreshments will be provided and plenty of time will be allowed for questions and answers. Educational handouts will also be available for those wishing to take home additional information.
