Dreyer Medical Clinic Offers Freedom from SmokingŪ

Don’t postpone quitting any longer. Dreyer Medical Clinic offers smoking cessation classes to help you quit today. The Freedom from Smoking® course is taught by a professional nurse certified by the American Lung Association. The class meets for eight two-hour sessions, on Mondays, February 4, 11, 18, and 25 (“Quit Day”); Wednesday, February 27; and Mondays, March 3, 10, and 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The class meets at the Clinic’s Mercy Campus, located at 1221 N. Highland Avenue, Aurora.


The Freedom from Smoking® course has a strong focus on the behavioral approach to quitting smoking and also includes a step-by-step plan, self control and stress management techniques, nutrition and exercise guidelines, group support, and follow-up. Information about nicotine replacement therapy is also presented. Lorayne Hrejsa, Manager of Education for Dreyer, said, “Quitting smoking is an important step for people to take to improve their overall health, and Dreyer intends to improve their chances for being and staying successful.”
