The Aurora-based Dreyer Medical Clinic honored their employees during
the annual Service Awards banquet held on November 15, at the Eagle
Brook Country Club in Geneva.
Dreyer’s President, Donna Cooper, CPA, MHA, welcomed the group by taking them back to the 1970s, to remember the years that the top-honored guests began their careers at the Clinic.
Thirty-years of recognition went to cardiologist, David H. Davis, M.D. of Aurora, John Clark of Oswego, Terry Pieart of Aurora, Ingrid Reese of Batavia, and Cynthia Worley of Montgomery. Both Clark and Pieart work in the Laboratory and Worley works in Rehabilitation. Both Dr. Davis and Reese retired shortly after celebrating their thirtieth year. Employees recognized at the 25-year level included: cardiologist, Lowell D. Carpenter, M.D. of Aurora, Margaret Bauman of Aurora, Dorothy Bundy of Montgomery, Carol Garlick of Batavia, Martha Hoover of Aurora, Linda Kramer of Plainfield, Marilyn Littlejohn of Montgomery, Mary Michels of Oswego, Terri Moe of Newark, and Jeanette Stephen of Malta. The balance of the 158 honorees saluted at the banquet had marked their 20th, 15th, 10th, and 5th year anniversaries working at Dreyer. Each was presented with a certificate and a gift voucher from representatives of administration. Dreyer’s total workforce consists of over 1,100 dedicated individuals – 140 physicians, 98 percent board certified or board eligible, about 400 allied health and nursing professionals, and nearly 600 clerical, technical, customer service, and other support staff. Dreyer Medical Clinic was founded by Dr. John W. Dreyer in 1922 and became affiliated with Advocate Health Care in 1996. Today the Clinic has twelve different office locations in seven Fox Valley area communities – Aurora, Batavia, Hinckley, Oswego, Plainfield, St. Charles, and Yorkville. The annual service awards event is one of the few occasions during the year when doctors and employees from all sites gather to celebrate the accomplishments of the staff and the Clinic. |
