Interested in a Night Out with the Boys?

Monday, 29 October 2007

Dreyer Medical Clinic is pleased to invite all area men interested in learning more about their health and wellness to the seventh annual Boys’ Night Out mini-conference from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007.

Free and open to the public, this year’s Boys’ Night Out event will be held in an informal, non-medical setting at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Aurora, Illinois located on Orchard Road off I-88. Bill Birch, Vice President of Operations at Dreyer Medical Clinic, will host this event and introduce the experts from the Clinic to address specific health-related issues. “This conference is very important to men of all ages. It addresses common health and wellness issues that play an important role in men’s health,” Birch explains.

The Boys’ Night Out program will feature four Dreyer physicians. Jon Doud, M.D., pulmonologist, will focus on Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Sudhir Sekhon, M.D., hematologist and oncologist, will be presenting Cancer Screening Guidelines for Men. Vineet Shah, D.O., orthopaedic surgeon, will address Joint Replacement and the necessary precautions associated with surgery. Lastly, David Sobel, M.D., urologist, will present information on Prostate Cancer.

At Boys’ Night Out, men are given the opportunity to learn the details about medical conditions specific to them in a casual environment with plenty of time for discussion. “In the past, every topic was addressed in a very sincere and heartfelt manner. Men who have come seem to really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere,” Birch continues.

Refreshments will be provided, and a door prize drawing will conclude the question and answer portion of the program. Educational handouts will be available for those wishing to take home additional information.

“It’s just what the doctor ordered!” Birch concludes.
